Attorney Wiegandt received his Juris Doctor (J. D.) cum laude in 1999 from Boston University School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in the same year. He also holds a master's degree in International Relations, the Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (M.A.L.D.), from the renowned Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Earlier Attorney Wiegandt passed the German bar exam after receiving his German legal education at the University of Göttingen. The same university awarded him a doctorate in law (Dr. iur.), which is the equivalent to a Ph. Prior to moving to the United States Attorney Wiegandt worked with the German government in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation as an officer in charge of assisting the development of Eastern Europe. Before starting the practice of law in the United States, he was, among other things, a Visiting Fellow at the Human Rights Program (HRP) of Harvard Law School and a consultant for Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) in Boston (now Cambridge).
Being an immigrant to the United States himself, Attorney Wiegandt understands the manifold problems immigrants are facing in this country. Attorney Wiegandt is committed to be accessible to his clients and provide them with a highly personal service.
